With the help of Dad, I've spent the last couple of weeks precision engineering GolfNet Online 3.0: The final word in past-generation mini golf simulation. If you're in Melbourne you can come along to Brunswick Arts Space from Friday December 5th and play the game in full on arcade cabinet form. GolfNet Online 3.0 is appearing as part of Golf Club alongside many more holes of mini golf by fantastic local and international artists.
I'll have plenty more to say about Golfnet Online 3.0 once it's complete, but if you're interested, I've been documenting the making of pretty thoroughly over on instagram. Check it out if you want to see how I've used the original MacPaint pattern set, Macpaint, and a bunch of other technologies and tricks to throw together the ultimate mini golf simulation-simulator (not a typo) in such short time.
I'm pretty proud of this. Here's a little teaser screenshot from the game:
Here are the details of Golf Club, which I encourage you to attend and play the game for yourself! There's also a Facebook event.
I'll leave you with the words of GolfNet Online 3.0's power commentator: "Get ready to golf!"
